Come See Us Tomorrow February 20th

Good evening Stingrays!!!!! Warm greetings to everyone from the STC Board, and hope our entire Stingray families are safe, and well as we continue to navigate these waters with COVID. As you are aware, our Registration for the 2022 season is currently underway and we hope you will be returning to join us for a new NWAL Season.

With a new season there will always be some new challenges, as well as changes which we as a team will face together. One of our major challenges will be the team swimming in new waters, in the Upper Tiers in NWAL  W4, with bigger, and faster teams that we have not faced before. Our team size will adjust, due to the subdivisions that did not swim last year in NWAL starting back this year, and some swimmers may feel obligated to join back and represent their neighborhood.

One major change to the Season is that NWAL has reverted back to their regular full season, with Dual, Divisional, MidSeason and PostSeason Invitational Meets. Last year was a one off year, where due to losing the 2020 Season they allowed 19 year olds to compete, but unfortunately this year it’s back to the regular 18 years old cap. Your STC Board as well, will have some new faces, as expected with any team, and with new individuals taking the step up to volunteer, this presents the team with fresh, new and exciting ideas.

With early registration underway, it’s open both online and face to face, and tomorrow Sunday February 20th, at 2pm at our Stone Creek Clubhouse, presents you with your first face to face opportunity. Come meet your board, also meet and interact with some of your team's coaches. This event will also provide you the opportunity to get involved with your team. Sign up and become involved in the planning process by serving on a swim team committee. We’ll have registration available, as well as provide you with information about our first major fundraiser. Which will be a dinner, and night of entertainment for you or anyone you know to enjoy. So stop by tomorrow at 2 pm at the Clubhouse, we’ll also have some Stone Creek swag, popcorn and drinks available for purchase, so you can show your support as well.

Finally, moving up divisions means stiffer competition, which will be exciting and challenging. We wanted to let you know of an opportunity that one of our main sponsors, Club Trident Aquatic’s is offering, to help you prepare. With it being about six to eight weeks out from the season, you need to get a head start. Don’t wait for the Season to start, get that jump on our competition, by signing up for their Head Start Program being offered at the Cy Lakes Natatorium. Just stop by between 5:30-7:00 PM Monday through Thursday for an in water evaluation, or to get more information visit their website at http://www.clubtridentaquatics.com.

Make your goals and dreams a reality, end the Season as a Divisional Champ, and at Ponderosa, and help STC stay Champions since “We Rule the Water”.
